Way Forward Counselling
Whatever is on your mind, whatever you are feeling and whatever your life is like, I offer you understanding, compassion and support
Understanding and supporting you with empathy and compassion
Hi there, I'm Steve, welcome to Way Forward Counselling, where I offer you a welcoming, understanding, compassionate and confidential counselling service that meets your needs.
Here for you
Counselling can often feel like a bit of a journey, and sometimes the first steps on that can feel hard to make, the direction you want to go in might feel uncertain.
I am here to support you to make those first steps or to accompany you on the journey, standing beside you and helping you along.
I won't tell you what to do, what you should feel or what you should think.
Helping you along your journey
Counselling with me is about ensuring you really feel listened to, understood and respected. It's also about encouraging you with your own thoughts and feelings, helping you understand them and make sense of them, and encouraging and supporting you with the choices and decisions you make.
You lead the way. We go one step at a time, we talk about what you want to and go where you want to go.
Professional, safe and ethical
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK's largest professional organisation for counsellors. I work within their professional guidelines and ethical framework.
I adhere to all legal requirements, including data protection, and making sure your rights are prioritised, which includes your privacy.
It's important to me that you feel the counselling I offer is highly professional, safe, respectful and looks after your interests.
I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and follow their policies and guidelines to ensure your privacy and that all data is protected.
I also have full professional insurance for counselling.
